Sambawan island is a marine sanctuary and a popular dive site. It has an extensive wealth of marine life, good visibility and corals that are in good condition. Turtles, sea snakes and reef sharks are also found there often. Current is mild and suitable for all range of divers.
A beautiful island located further north of Malapascua. Visibility is normally better than at other dive sites around Malapascua. Huge sea fans and a slope with breathtaking black corals in different colors are covering the bottom at one of these dive sites. A big diversity of reef fish such as sweet lips, parrot fish, groupers, turtles and much more can be seen here.
Also black tip reef sharks are often spotted around Sambawan Island. Underwater you can see a lot of macro stuff in this type of dive site . It is a maximum depth of 30 meters, and up to 12 meters at the top of the shelf. It’s a very special day trip to discover the island whether you choose to dive or not.
