The Yapak dive site consists of both Yapak 1 and Yapak 2 which is essentially a wall dive that is usually divided into four different diving adventures. These walls begin at 30 meters and drop down to 70 meters. Located just off the northwestern tip of Boracay Island near the Punta Bunga dive site. From the nearest dock, it only takes about 15 minutes by boat to reach the Yapak location. Yapak 2 is a beautiful dive site with great visibility. For many scuba divers, this is one of the most visually stunning sights in the region. It is also one of the easiest for new divers to see thanks to the unique structure of the Yapak 2 area.
The visibility of both Yapak locations is good with plenty of sea life to witness, including napoleon wrasses, dogtooth tuna, groupers, grey, and white tip reef sharks as well. While the Yapak 1 site is more accessible to beginning and moderate level scuba divers, Yapak 2 is more for experienced scuba divers that have deep dive certification. Once you reach the bottom you can look up and see an amazing variety of fish swirling about. Surface conditions can be rough, and therefore a negative entry is often required, followed by a spectacular blue-water descent. This dive site also has some Cathedral like caves which can be explored by Tec Deep or Tec 45 to Tec 50 Certified Divers.
